Congratulations to Connor Kaufmann!!

Great news!  

fenwaysouth is a good man and his son is very talented - on and off the field.  Lets not forget the young man also threw a no-hitter last year as well.

We saw Connor pitch when he was in High school (Richmond Braves) He was good then and obviously has developed nicely in college.  Congratulations

Thanks everyone, and I owe you one Prepster.  If Connor knew this was on a message board he would turn red like his jersey.  He likes to remain in the shadows.  His season doesn't start until March 1, and his team knows it is going to be a dogfight with a bunch of teams within the division and league this year....but that is why they play the games.

Congrats to Fenway and Connor.  That's one heck of an accomplishment in an excellent school like Cornell.

Adding my congratulations to both Connor & Fenway. This is indeed a terrific accomplishment. Best wishes to Connor for all the success in the world, both on and off the field.

By the way, I failed to mention an extremely significant additional fact: Connor's an engineering major at Cornell!

Imagine how this young man's first job interview is going to go.  The employer goes through all the hoops and gives his speal.  Then, he basically asks, "What can you do for us"  The young man replies, "I've learned to multi-task effectively and produce at a high level under pressure."  "I took the hardest degree offered in college and also taken at one of the most prestigious academic institutions in th country.  Moreover, I was an All-Conference D1 athlete which basically was a second full-time job in addition to my engineering studies."
