To those who have signed or will be signing an NLI this week I would like to congratulate you. I also have a few words of advice.

1. Be sure to tell your parents or whoever it was that got you to all of those practices and games and gave so much of themselves and their time how much you appreciate all that they sacrificed for you.

2. Contact the coaches who made a profound impact on you and your baseball development and let them know that you signed and that they had a part in it.

3. Stay humble and realize how fortunate you are. There are plenty of qualified players who have not received the opportunity that you have.

4. For those who say that you don't have to prove yourself now, don't believe them. Show everybody why you received a scholarship to play this game. Continue to work hard and improve your game.

5. Continue to study hard. Be as ready to go to classes and study as you are to play baseball.

6. Lastly, be very proud of yourself and what you have accomplished. My son says that his time in college is by far the best time of his life and for him that's saying a lot. I hope that it is for all of you as well.

Good Luck
