Don't want this to be overlooked. With Cal trailing 6-0 in the 4th last Friday to Stanford, Nick Tess enterred the game and proceeded to throw 3.2 innings of one hit ball giving up one unearned run. Gave Cal a chance to nearly come all the way back. party Would not be surprised if that performance did not give the Cal team some motivation as they won the next two to take a series from Stanford for the first time this "century" I believe.

Great news indeed URKMB! Huge congrats to your son. I have been to Palo Alto many times and it is one of my favorite places in the nation. Driven through Berkely but have not spent any time there. BTW, you have one of the more intriguing screen names on the hsbbweb. Makes me feel sad for umpires a wee little bit Smile Is that your picture in the Avatar as well?
I was there, right behind home plate (although rooting for the other team). Nick did GREAT! He really did hold his team in the game and gave them a shot at it. He was quite impressive, to say the least.

It was even more fun watching the look on his mother's face when he got up in the bullpen! Wish I had my camera with me. Big Grin

I already congratulated URKMB in person, but let me say it again...GREAT JOB (son and mom!).
