1st Inning:
Top:
Derek Rodriguez led off the game with a base hit that turned into to two due to an interference call on second baseman Josh Tolan. Grant Muncrief brought him home with a sacrifice fly to right field giving the Storm the lead 1-0. Josh Kartchner flew out to second baseman Josh Tolan for the third out.

Bottom:
Scott Coffman caught Dain Hall looking at a third strike for the first out. Casey McMurray singled to first, picked up a stolen base, and was driven home on a single by Kevin Crane. The inning ended on a line drive hit by Jared Levi to left fielder Ian McKnight. The game tied at 1-1.

2nd Inning:
Top:
Three up, three down for the Storm as Top Tier pitcher John Fianagan sends them all down swinging.
Bottom:
Brett VanAdslen sent one to deep right for a stand-up double but was picked off second base a few pitches later by Scott Coffman. Pete Capetta strikes out for number 3. Still tied 1-1.

3rd Inning:
Top:
Charlie Thomas got to first on a walk and scored on bad throw from shortstop Pete Capetta. Score 2-1 Farmington. Christian Lucero got on base on an error and scored in a play at the plate with catcher Cameron McConnell after a base hit by Grant Muncrief. Muncrief scored later on a single hit by Josh Kartchner bringing the score to 4-1 Farmington.
Bottom:
After two quick outs Josh Tolan singled to left field. With two runners, on a diving catch at third base by Grant Muncrief ends the inning.

4th Inning:
Top:
Three quick outs take it to the bottom of the 4th.
Bottom:
Derek Rodriguez holds on to a shallow fly ball in center field for the first out. Brett VanAdslen dropped a blooper in front of the catcher Brandon VanRiper and was thrown out at first for out two. A fly ball to right was caught by Alfonso Alonso for the last out.

5th Inning:
Top:
A line drive by Derek Rodriguez was caught by second baseman Josh Tolan for an out. Two fly balls were caught by Casey McMurray, one, a sliding catch in deep center.
Bottom:
A base hit puts Cameron McConnell on first base. A error committed by shortstop Chaz Weaver on a ground ball hit by Dain Hall put McConnell on second. A base hit by Casey McMurray loaded the bases. Hall and McConnell score on a base hit to left by Kevin Crane. Casey McMurray scored on a steal home while Kevin Crane stole second. Kevin Crane advanced to third on a wild pitch by Scott Coffman. After walking Jared Levi, putting runners at the corners, Eddie Carl comes to the mound to relieve Scott Coffman. Kevin Crane comes home on a throwing error to the plate committed by Charlie Thomas after Jared Levi steals second base. The inning ends with a ground out to first by Brett VanAdslen.

6th Inning:
Top:
A flyout to right, ground ball to short, and a strikeout leave one runner on first and end the top of the 6th.
Bottom:
After a base hit to center field, Ian Goldberg is caught stealing second. Pete Capetta was put on with a walk and Cameron McConnell brought him home with a two run homer over left center. Josh Tolan got to first on a walk and advanced to third on a deep double to left center by Casey McMurray. Joey Garcia came in the game to relieve Eddie Carl for the Storm. A triple hit by Kevin Crane scores Casey McMurray and Josh Tolan. The inning ends on a fly ball to left fielder Ian McKnight.

I am very proud of these guys and what they have accomplished. This also applies to the 17 yr. old Americans and their appearance in the CABA World Series Championship game. I also must mention the pride I have for 17 yr. old Prospects and Nationals and everything they too have accomplished for themselves and the Top Tier family. They are all winners in my eyes. I am leaving for Arizona this week for a month and plan on driving over to Farmington to see the guys.

We blew this one - 9 walks and 4 errors.
Gave up 7 runs in the 6th inning (score was 10-6)

1st Inning:
Top: At the start of the game Dain Hall grounded out to third baseman John Bunder. Josh Tolan popped out to second baseman Kyle Farmer. Casey McMurray grounded out to first baseman Matt Skole for the third out.
Bottom: Pitcher Nick Chmielewski put Chris Epps on first with four straight balls. Epps came up with a stolen base after Jason Stolz went down swinging for the first out. Chase Burnett and Jarrett Didrick both come away with strike outs to end the inning.

2nd Inning:
Top: Third baseman John Bunder picked up a slow chopper hit by Kevin Crane and got it to first in time for an out. Jared Levi rocked one into left field for a double. Brett VanAdslen swung at a third strike for out number two. Ian Goldberg picked up a single and an RBI by scoring Levi on a hit up the middle. Pete Cappetta battled it out with Chmielewski but ended up with a third out strikeout leaving Goldberg stranded at second. Top Tier takes a 1-0 lead.
Bottom: Matt Skole starts out the bottom of the second with a single up the middle. Parker Brunnelle grounded out to shortstop Pete Cappetta but advance Skole to second in the process. Skole didn't last long at second. Catcher Cameron McConnell caught him sleeping and picked him off for the second out. Kyle Farmer grounded out to third baseman Dain Hall for the third out.

3rd Inning:
Top: An error by third baseman John Bunder allows Cameron McConnell to get on base. A single by Dain Hall scores McConnell from second. Casey McMurray singled to center, scoring Dain Hall, and gained an extra base on the throw home. Kevin Crane grounded out to shortstop Jason Stolz for the second out. Jared Levi goes down swinging for out number three. Top Tier holds the lead 3-0.
Bottom: John Bunder struck out for the first out. A walk brings Chris Epps to first base. Epps was forced out at second on a hit by Jason Stolz. Another walk put runners at first and second. A triple hit to the right field wall by Jarrett Didrick scores Jason Stolz and Chase Burnette making the score 3-2 Top Tier. A third walk by Chmielewski put runners at the corners. Eric Wyman came in to relieve Chmielewski on the hill. An error by shortstop Pete Cappetta put Parker Brunelle on first, Matt Skole on third and scored Jarrett Didrick. Skole scored on a wild pitch by Wyman to make the score 4-3 giving the lead to East Cobb.

4th Inning:
Top: Brett VanAdslen lined out to first baseman Matt Skole for the first out. A high chopper hit by Ian Goldberg to second baseman Kyle Farmer was fielded and thrown to first for out number 2. John Williams came into the game and hit a single to center. Cameron McConnell singled and advanced Williams to third. Second Baseman Kyle Farmer made a diving catch and got the ball to first for the third out, leaving two runners stranded.
Bottom: Kyle Farmer grounded out to pitcher Eric Wyman and John Bunder popped out on a short foul ball to third baseman John Williams who made a sliding catch. Wyman put Chris Epps on first with a walk. Jason Stolz made it to first on a blooper to pitcher Eric Wyman and advanced Epps to second. A double to the right field wall by Chase Burnette scored Epps and Stolz. Jarrett Didrick flew out to right fielder Kevin Crane to end to inning. The East Cobb Yankees increase their lead to 6-3.

5th Inning:
Top: Josh tolan grounded out to second baseman Kyle Farmer for the first out. Casey McMurray got on with a base hit to left field. Kevin Crane ripped one up the middle putting runners at first and third. Jared Levi grounded out to first base for the second out. Casey McMurray came home on a passed ball and Kevin Crane moved to third. Brett VanAdslen scored Crane on a double down the right field line. Chris Newell came in to take over on the mound for Joshua Means. Ian Goldberg got the lead with a two run home run over the right field wall. Johns Williams took one on the wrist for a free ticket to first. Cameron McConnell flew out to center fielder Chase Burnette for the third out. Top Tier regains the lead 7-6.
Bottom: Matt Skole went down swinging for out number one. Parker Brunelle watched a third strike for the second out. TJ Rich grounded out to first baseman Brett VanAdslen to end the inning. Top Tier stays up by one.

6th Inning:
Top: Third baseman John Bunder came up with an amazing catch off the rain tarp to get the first out of the sixth. Josh Tolan got to first on an error by third baseman Bunder. Tolan stole second and got to third on a bad throw by catcher Parker Brunelle. Casey McMurray was hit by a pitch and stole a base to end up on second. After four straight balls put Kevin Crane on first, Joshua Means is relieved by Adam Morgan. A sacrifice fly by Jared Levi brought home Josh Tolan. A double steal by Casey McMurray and Kevin Crane put runners at second and third. Casey McMurray scored on a wild pitch. Kevin Crane scored on a passed ball. Brett VanAdslen struck out looking for the third out. Top Tier increases the lead to 10-6.
Bottom: Kyle Farmer struck out for out one. Blake Hudson came in to pinch hit for John Bunder. Blake Hudson and Chris Epps walked and get runners on first and second. Jason Stolz singles to load the bases. Blake Hudson scores on hit by Chase Burnette that was bobbled by shortstop Dain Hall. Jarrett Didrick scores Chris Epps on a sacrifice fly to centerfielder Casey McMurray. Runners advanced to second and third on a passed ball. Matt Skole tied it back up, 10-10, with a single to right field scoring Jason Stolz and Chase Burnette. Parker Brunelle kept the rally going with a single to left center. Eric Wyman loaded up the bases again when he hit TJ Rich. Wyman walks in a run to give the lead back to East Cobb and is relieved by Curtis Hudson. Jason Butts came in the game and hit a single to center, scoring Parker Brunelle and TJ Rich. The bases load up again with a walk by Curtis Hudson. With a full count, bases loaded, and two down, Jason Stolz flew out to center fielder Casey McMurray. East Cobb came up with a seven run rally to bring the score to 13-10 East Cobb.

7th Inning:
Top: A pitching change for East Cobb brings Ryan Rodebaugh to the mound. John Williams walked to first. Ian Goldberg lined out to second baseman Kyle Farmer for the first out. Shortstop Jason Stolz and Kyle Farmer turn two to get the last outs of the game. East Cobb took the win 13-10.

1st Inning:
Top: Jesse Santo grounded out to third baseman John Williams for the first out. Chris Berroa flew out to right fielder Kevin Crane for out number two. Billy Rice hit a single to center field to get on base. Jack Rice hit a line drive to third baseman John Williams who dropped it but still had time to get the throw to first to get the out.
Bottom: Dain Hall grounded out to third baseman Chas Crane. Josh Tolan grounded out to shortstop Jesse Santo and Casey McMurray grounded out to second baseman Brandon Boykin.

2nd Inning:
Top: Frank Florio got out on a comebacker to pitcher Pete Cappetta. Jaren Mathews grounded out to shortstop Josh Tolan. Brandon Boykin struck out looking for the third out.
Bottom: Kevin Crane singled up the middle and picked up a stolen base. Jared Levi hit a double off the left field wall to score Crane. After Josh Williams went down swinging and Ian Goldberg popped out to third baseman Chas Crane, Brett Van Adslen singled to center to bring Levi to third. Kevin Arico put the nine hole hitter on with a walk, loading the bases. Dain Hall grounded out to second baseman Brandon Boykin to end the inning, leaving three runners stranded. Top Tier takes the lead 1-0.

3rd Inning:
Top: Chas Crane earned a single on a short fly to left center and advanced on a sacrifice bunt executed perfectly by Jeff Melillo. A single by Jesse Santo put Crane on third. A sacrifice fly hit by Chris Berroa brings Crane home. Billy Rice hit a two run homer over right center to give the lead to the Diamond Jacks. Jack Rice followed it up with a single to left. A single by Frank Florio advanced Jack Rice to second. A deep fly out to center fielder Casey McMurray by Jaren Mathews sent them into the bottom of the third stranding two runners.
Bottom: Josh Tolan grounded out to shortstop Jesse Santo. Casey McMurray singled, stole a base and was driven home on a single by Kevin Crane. Kevin Crane's single came after a call was overturned changing his first hit from a homerun to a foul ball. Eric Pfisterer came in to relieve Kevin Arico on the mound. Jared Levi got to first on an error committed by second baseman Brandon Boykin. Nick Chmielewski came in to pinch run for Levi Jared. John Williams went down swinging for out two. Ian Goldberg hit an RBI single, scoring Kevin Crane. Brett Van Adslen hit a 2 RBI double to left, scoring Chmielewski and Goldberg. Cameron McConnell hit a RBI single to bring in Van Adslen and ended up at second base on the throw. Matt Grabowski came in to relieve Pfisterer on the mound. Grabowski stopped the bleeding by striking out Dain Hall.

4th Inning:
Top: Brandon Boykin singled to left field. Chas Crane was let on with a walk. Jeff Melillo flew out to center fielder Casey McMurray with a sliding catch. Jesse Santo also flew out to center fielder Casey McMurray. A error committed by John Williams allowed Brandon Boykin to score. Billy Rice grounded out to first baseman Brett Van Adslen for the last out.
Bottom: Josh Tolan struck out looking. Casey McMurray flew out to right fielder Billy Rice. Kevin Crane grounded out to second baseman Brandon Boykin.

5th Inning:
Top: Jack Rice grounded out to first baseman Brett Van Adslen. Frank Florio watched a third strike for out two. Jaren Mathews flew out to left fielder Ian Goldberg for the third out.
Bottom: Nick Chmielewski took over for Jared Levi as designated hitter after pinch running for him in the bottom of the third inning. Chmielewski struck out for the first out in the bottom of the fifth. John Williams got on with a walk. Ian Goldberg reached first on an error committed by first baseman Jaren Mathews. Third baseman Chas Crane ended the inning by forcing out John Williams at third and getting the throw to first in time to get Brett Van Adslen out for a double play.

6th Inning:
Top: Brandon Boykin got on with a walk, Chas Crane with a single. Both are batted forward by a sacrifice bunt by Jeff Melillo. Jesse Santo hits a rocket out of the park and picked up 3 RBI's. Diamond Backs take the lead 7-6. Chris Berroa double to right center field and stole third base. Billy Rice went down swinging. A double by Jack Rice scored Chris Berroa. AJ Mulford came in to pitch for Top Tier. Frank Florio grounded to out to first baseman Brett Van Adslen.
Bottom: Cameron McConnell flew out to right fielder Billy Rice. Dain Hall got on due to an error by shortstop Jesse Santo. Josh Tolan hit a single down the third base line advancing Hall to third. Tolan picked up a stolen base. Casey McMurray hit single up the middle and picked up two RBI's, tying the game 8-8. McMurray ended up at second on the throw from centerfield to home. Marc Zecchino came to the mound to relieve Grabowski. Kevin Crane doubled to center and got to second on the throw. John Flanagan pinch hit for and was walked intentionally to load the bases. John Williams struck out and Ian Goldberg flew out to right fielder Billy Rice to end the sixth. The game is tied 8-8.

7th Inning:
Top: John Flanagan came to the mound for Top Tier. Jaren Mathews flew out to centerfielder Casey McMurray. Brandon Boykin connected with a check swing and came up with a single to shallow right field. Brandon Boykin was tagged out on his way to third. Jeff Melillo went down swing for the third out.
Bottom: A single to pitcher Marc Zecchino's hamstring put Brett Van Adslen on base. A sacrifice bunt by Cameron McConnell put Van Adslen in scoring positon. Dain Hall was intentionally walked and Josh Tolan singled to load the bases. Casey McMurray hit a single to score the winning run for Top Tier. Final score was 9-8.
Congratulations to Casey McMurray winning the batting title for the Connie Mack World Series.
Another congratulations goes out to Seth Blair who pitched a dandy and made the all tournament team for the Midland Redskins. Lots of talent at this event.
