The Four Corners area is very fortunate to have every year in Farmington the Connie Mack World Series, which is one of the three best 18U events I have ever seen (the Area Code games and Jupiter are the other two) and arguably the most competitive when taking into account what it takes to get there.

Anyway, I am thrill to say that for the fourth time in five years, the Arizona Firebirds have made it to this great event, knocking off both Trombly baseball and a very tough Spokane Dodgers team in the 12-team West Regional in Seattle. The weather was great and the event even better (and I would say that even if we had not won).

For the accomplishment, we get to open against the East Cobb Yankees. And, actually, we can't wait. Whatever the result, it will be great fun.

Congratulations and Good Luck Jemaz!Same thing with Jemazjr and rest of the team. Wish RR23Jr can experience that someday! He had a taste of New Mexico with the Don Mattingly World Series but came up a little short. Very Valuable experience though for a young team.

What are the Firebirds doing in the Fall? Are you guys going to field a team for the PG National Underclass/Upperclass ( getting to be like Jupiter and maybe the 4th best 18U event )?
