For 23s and their families who are stressed today about who will text and who won't....take a breath. My '22 heard crickets until a text on 9-2-20 from a school not on his target list. Heard nothing from his #1 choice for 2 weeks despite repeated communications. He had written them off because he overreacted to the first few days.

He was committed there by Thanksgiving.

not stressed at all.  my son has dragged his feet an not really contacted too many schools yet.  the one school he was in contact with had a coaching change, so maybe the recruiting coordinator's calls him from the new school, but he's not too jazzed about that new school so no big deal.

A much healthier attitude than I had last September!

I'm more irritated that he dragged his feet this long to make contact.  at this point, he has the email written, his list to schools and contacts to send it to, his video link...all he has to do is press send. now, the question is:  does he send it out tonight or wait? he's doing a PBR event in a week and a half that should show vastly improved numbers from last year.  wait until those new numbers are available or send it now and list that event (just a basic pbr showcase, nothing special)  as something he's attending.  fwiw, his numbers as a rising soph last year are pretty good but these should be really good.

September 1 was a day my son looked forward to. He was already in touch with several schools. He received a couple of emails (one was at midnight); one of several receiving it. On the other hand another school mentioned to RipkenFanSon's Legion coach that he can expect to receive a call from them on September 1- actually gave son the coach or coach's names that he should expect to hear. The day went by...then another day passed...son's Legion coach assured son there was interest with this school. As it turns out, the coach has two numbers of son's cell number interchanged!
