My son Bill played in the Blue-Grey Classic last weekend at Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, SC. I took this photo of him hitting a triple that one hopped the center field wall at the 390 sign. Check out the flex in the bat, I have never seen a metal bat flex this much.

Wow, that is some photo. Must be a two piece bat like a Stealth. Can't see a solid metal bat flexing that much. Pretty incredible.

Hey BBFDad - I also take a lot of photos...have a pretty good camera, Canon Mark III-1D. So I'm really interested in this stuff.

What did you take that with? Lens? Exposure settings?

I've taken a lot of shots of hitters at contact point and have not seen this effect.

That is a really cool shot - and like justbaseball, never seen that kind of effect before!!! He must have some serious bat speed.

Photo was taken with a Canon 1D Mark II N with a 300MM lens at ISO 500, 3.5 Aperture, shutter 1/2500,
