Cool Youth Uniforms and Team Names

We've often talked about cool uniforms or team names for minor league teams. What about youth teams?

For example, PG's Facebook page has some pictures of an East Cobb Astros team who just won some tournament. They wear the old, hideouly orange Astros uniforms. They look awesome!

Any funny uniforms or team names you're aware of?

I always thought it was funny I had a LL team that was sponsored by the local funeral home...then I ended up in the funeral business!

I heard about that team you were on papi...a real powerhouse! I remember one year when your team didn't lose a single game. Yep...you cremated everyone! And that next year? The same...you guys buried 'em all!

Back in the day, everyone wanted Stretch Funeral Home on the back of their shirt. It became so popular they just made regular t-shirts and gave them out. You'd see eyewitnesses on the tv news wearing them. Not sure if funeral parlors were allowed to advertise back then, but everyone knew about Stretch Funeral Home. ??

Ever notice how the crowds of Carribean refugees shown on the news are always wearing t-shirts like that? I'll have to start watching for Stretch FH shirts!

Way back when I was a kid, I played for the Reds. Yet we had yellow hats and yellow/white uniforms. Go figure.

My high school team had uniforms that looked like those old Astros uniforms but with one catch....blue was the base color.

Why you wanted to copy those uniforms let alone with blue, navy, royal, and baby blue is beyond me.

Every team we played was like this

Some of my friends cringed when Sawyer's Flowers took over sponsorship of their Babe Ruth team. It didn't take long for the rest of us to nickname them The Pansies. I played for Yudy's Tires. Imagine the fun 13-15yo's had with being sponsored by a rubber company.
