Cornerstone University Baseball announces staff

Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids Michigan just officially announced their head coach and staff at the groundbreaking ceremony of their new turf stadium on Wednesday Nov 2nd. The stadium will be completed by late August.

Head Coach: David A Mitroff
SR Assistant Coach: Ron Engels
Pitching Coach: Chuck Lowitzki
Volunteer Asst: Doug Smith

We are a non-denominational Christian school that is looking for qualified players who also fit the mission statement of the university. We have 12 full scholarships,will play top nationally ranked teams with our non-conference schedule.

Are you guys D-I or something else? Where are you playing in 2012 since the new field won't be ready until the 2012 season is over?

Not a D-1. D-1's are limited to 11.7 scholarships. They are a member of the NAIA-Wolverine / Hoosier Athletic Conference. They do not have a roster or a schedule posted, so, it looks like they start next year.

We are an NAIA school. We start next year. We will open up in the metro dome in Minneapolis. We do start next year. Our stadium will be complete in August 2012 and ready for fall ball.

Were building a 3 million plus turf stadium that will be ready in August for next season. Would love to have players from Texas compete for our roster !!! No-one will drown in sweat or snow ! LOL

Next season is 2013. Program starts in the Fall of 2012. First season is 2013. They have told you twice, they are building a new 3 million dollar stadium. Not hostile, just have trouble with people that can not understand a simple response.
