I'm getting cabin fever waiting around for baseball to begin. Can't we do some kind countdown like shopping days before Christmas to pass the time? We all jumped on the karma points thing for lack of baseball to talk about. Surely you oldtimers have some old fashioned remedy for passing the time waiting for baseball to begin! LOL

Izzismom - We've talked about this quite a bit in my regional forum. We've also talked about basketball and football and........ I don't think there's any magical way to completely prevent the "waiting for the season blues"! I remember thinking last year, as a parent of a HS senior, if I would ever feel that same anticipation and excitement. I'll tell ya, it's no different when they're away at college. I'm also almost as excited to see his HS team play without him as I was with him. ALMOST that is!!!!! Smile

The great thing about college ball is it gets started several weeks before HS did!!
Ladies--I strongly recommend tending to your husbands' every need during this lull before the storm. Milk, cookies, chips, brewskis, and other snacks are always appreciated. And husbands lurking in here, I even more strongly recommend you tend to your wives. Winter is a good time for a well-deserved backrub.

Ooooooooooo ... you are getting dangerously close to being in the same doghouse as Linear peepwall but you saved yourself with the backrub comment.

Ours gets to participate in his college alumni game next week-end, so we will have a little 'fix' to tide us over for a while. And it will be good to see old friends, including the head coach when AJ was there ... they are retiring his jersey number at the alumni game so I imagine there will be a few tissues out during the little ceremony.
Well.....after just visiting the general forum....and reading the thread, "Coaches be honest on this one"...I'm going to countdown by researching data that poster Rob Kremer will be supplying me.....

Did you know ladies....all this time I thought that many females were being paid less for doing the same job as men....and come to find out...per Mr. Kremer.....it just isn't so.....he says it's basically a lie...put out by feminist groups.....to suit their agendas.....

Gosh....and all along I thought there was some truth to it.......

Yes, once poster Kremer supplies his reference sources....I'm going to spend the countdown getting educated.......

JT.....Watch it....sounds like male activist propaganda to me (except for the back rub).....!!!!!
No no no, ladies. You got it all wrong. I was simply offerring an equitable solution--one that benefits all parties. You all mentioned your cooking woes in another thread, and this could be a way to hone the skills. Remember, I'm on YOUR side. meeting And the hubbies have to reciprocate.
