Great school! Pretty tough academically, and expensive. Omaha is very nice place with a fun downtown area full of restaurants, entertainment.

Weather is not a plus. It IS Nebraska.

Just lost their Asst Coach/Recruiting Coordinator to Ohio U.

Head Coach is a solid guy. Seems to be a stickler for discipline and fundamentals. Very structured approach. Seems to stress pitching, defense, moving runners up,hitting the cut-off man, etc.

He recruits quality kids who buy into his system and are willing to work hard.

Hard to argue with their success in a very good conference.(MVC)

Coach Servais runs the most efficient practices I have ever seen. Constant motion, constant teaching. It's a great school, with many rigorous academic offerings. Exercise Science program is outstanding. The previous poster was exactly correct in saying that the focus is on team first, solid fundamental baseball. Ed's teams have consistently been among the best defensive teams in college baseball. New pitching coach came from Pitt, and the new recruiting coordinator returned to Creighton after stints at Purdue and Washington State. They've done a solid job at getting some of the best in-state guys despite Nebraska being right down the road. Darrin Ruf is an alum recently called up to the Phillies after setting a minor league record for home runs. Ty Blach was their best pitcher from last year, and was a 5th rounder. You may also have heard of Pat Venditte, the ambidextrous pitcher who played at Creighton. As a high school coach, I would feel very confident sending my kids to play at Creighton.
