Had to chance to watch my son's team (Wayne State NE) play a fall ball game at Creighton U. this past Oct. Very nice campus located in center city Omaha, 5 miles from airport. Nice ballpark, although the turf field was nice, I wasn't a big fan of the infield. The dirt was actually artifical turf painted brown. It was my first up close look at a D-1 ballclub and the thing that impressed me the most was the "speed". Everybody flies. Hope this helps.
We attended Junior Day at Creighton last year.
Omaha is a great town, but the weather is pretty rough!

Great school, academically! Expensive, though.

MVC is a very good conference and Creighton is usually in the top 3 with Wichita State and Missouri State.
Creighton plays a few home games at Rosenblatt Stadium. (home of the College World Series)

They seem to have a very disciplined approach, really stress defense and pitching.

Coach Servais is a strong, family guy with high morals. Some might think he's a little too structured in his approach, but he seems to get the most out of his athletes.

He gave a great presentation at the Junior Day.
I know the parents were impressed with how he 'told it like it is" in terms of the committment needed to play D-1 baseball and get your degree.
No, he is heading to Western Kentucky. Much warmer, much cheaper, much nicer facilities.

He was not that interested in Creighton compared to other schools that recruited him, and as it turns out, Creighton wasn't interested in him.

I'd guess there were 30 or so kids at the Junior Day. Included tickets for kids and parents to Basketball game that night. Can't remember what the Camp cost? Maybe $50?

Definitely a worthwhile trip if Creighton is a school that you're interested in. They have a great Pharmacy school, from what I hear.

We also attended Junior Day at Iowa. Enjoyed it also. Super facilities, gorgeous campus and outstanding Coaches!
