Anybody know of a company that makes custom catchers gloves?

My son attended the PG Underclass showcase last January, and there was a vendor display by a company that made custom ordered gloves. My son is ready for a new catchers glove, and liked what he saw from this company, but he can't remember its name.

I've checked with PG and they don't have records of the vendor.

Apparently they use some special rawhide, and they truly make the glove to order, colors, web style, etc.

Anybody know who it might have been?

There are also companies like trevino, and such. They make custom mitts I know. I saw a site somewhere on the web, I htink maybe glove dr or something, but he custom makes mitts with a tracing of your hand for perfect fit, buy they were like 500 bucks, and did not look of very good workmanship. trevino gloves however, are very very heavy. My buddy's second base glove weighs more than my catchers mitt.

bkecks, the gloves you mentioned happen to be from the same manufacurer, just private labeled. Wink

Yennaco gloves are manufactured in the same region as the Barazza/Soto/Swenson gloves.

Thanks for the info. It would be interesting to know who makes the gloves for whom and how many manufacturers there really are.
bkecks,
there are only a handful of manufacturers overseas, they make most of the gloves from most of the glove companies, ie. Rawlings, Wilson, Mizuno. Most of the smaller companies, Akadema, Kelley, Pinkard, all go through them as well.

Nokona makes their own in TX. Trevino is also made in TX,

Same thing with baseballs, the Pro Nine guys used to work for Diamond, until they decided to go out on their own. Anyone can have their own baseball company, it's a matter of contacts and finance, the more money put into the ball, the better it is.

It's amaizing what you can gather just by talking to people.

And wood bats, whew???? That's a whole nother ballgame alltogether! Wink
