The ride ends for everyone at some point and time, for some it came to a stop today. Time to go home...
For some I suppose being sent home is a relief if they've been struggling and trying to live up to everyone else's expectations. But I would imagine most would do almost anything for a chance to keep playing and working towards a goal they've been dreaming of since they were knee high...
I hope they can all look back and understand how special their careers have been, and how relatively few get a chance to experience their success in the game of baseball. Only a few move on from high shool and get to play in college, and only few from that group (and sometimes luckiest) get to play professional baseball, and a very few get to the majors.
It's going to be a rough couple of days for those who got cut...
Now they get to join the world WE live in. It's not the end, just a new beginning!

Our son is one of the fortunate ones at this point, still getting to live his dream and strive for the show. But I do know that every time someone gets cut from his group of friends and teammates, even the guys that can sometimes be jerks, he says it gets harder and harder to watch.

The road will end somewhere someday for everybody and our hearts go out to those who have already had to face the cuts.
