SBK...Easy to lose 20 in the SEC.
Not a weak sister in the bunch.
Never forget the Saturday doubleheader that I went to see being played at Mississippi State in 1991. Florida vs. MSU...About 14000 fans in the stands and 4 #1 draft choices pitching....BJWallace and Jay Powell for the Bulldogs; and, Marc Valdes and John Burke and for the Gators....
Left field lounge....best fans in America.
You had to be there!
Bullwinkle: If you have a chance, check out the field hockey at Yale - the new head coach who is wonderful, upbeat, etc is the wife of Yale's baseball coach, John Stuper. We have a friend whose daughter plays on the team (and whose brother played baseball there)if you need any info on it.
Gotta hope my Sun Devils can make it through the losers bracket to the final game.......looks like it might be tough.......but then again the CSF series looked tough as well and they made it out of that one.
If you missed the Sun Devils win over the Huskers, you missed what college baseball is all about. A GREAT game by both teams.
HV
Has to be one of the greatest college games ever especially for the fans--neither team deserved to lose

How 'bout those Sun Devils! And how 'bout Jeff Larish! I do believe the Tigers got a good one.
What a GAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMME... 3 HR's for Larish. But like TRhit said best college game ever and it was either team's game............
GO SUN DEVILS.............the memories are flooding back of watching the Devils play during my college days and catching a great tan at the same time......those were the days.....

....and now they get a tanned, rested and ready Gator team tomorrow. Gators 7, Devils 3.
Who would have ever thought the second game today would top the first game of the day!
What a day for college baseball!
Although they knocked out CU in the super regionals, I might have to change my fav to Baylor!

How about those Baylor Bears, that was a great
comeback.
Go Texas!!!
Go Baylor!!!
comeback.

Go Baylor!!!
I came home early and sat down about the time the first pitch was thrown around 2:05. I watched every single pitch , play , at bat it was awesome. I dont know if I have ever seen a more clutch performance by one player in a bigger game in my life. Larish goes yard oppo. Larish goes yard by jerking a fb. Larish goes yard to straight away cf. Both teams kept fighting and finding ways to try and win. No one deserved to loose that game. Matter of fact no one lost that game. Nebraska just ran out of innings. My hats off to both teams for treating us to in my opinion one of the greatest baseball games the college game has ever had on that stage. I didnt get to see the Baylor Tulane game. My son had practice at an indoor facility hitting and bull pens. I walked to the lobby and saw Tulane up 6-0 kind of early and figured it was over. Only to get home and find out that Baylor won. Wow what a CWS so far.
Agree totally with the WOW comments above. Yogie has got to be loving it after the Baylor game. I fell asleep because I thought it was over - ya right!!!!
With respect to ASU, they are one of the teams I have been following along with Oregon State who is now out. ASU has frightening offensive capabilities and several players who can beat you all by themselves. I have never seen a player who stands at the plate waiting for the ball quite like Larish. It almost appears he is looking for the ball with his back eye and thus appears to have his head turned more toward the pitcher than most players. Anyone else notice this?
Obviously, Florida and Texas are the favorites right now but I wouldn't rule anyone out at this point.

ClevelandDad, when I first noticed Larish earlier in the year I initally thought we was looking at the 1B coach then realized that was his stance. Curious to know if it's simply a matter of preference or perhaps he has a weak right eye.
How are ESPN's ratings thus far on the CWS?

Everyone at my office, and I mean everyone, claimed to have seen the Baylor Tulane game. I can't help but think the ratings have to be pretty stout. Maybe it was the day College Baseball emerged as the marquee sport we have long known it is.
MT07LHP,
I certainly think it is a vision thing but not necessarily a "weak" right eye. His left eye just may be his dominant eye thus he turns his head that way to take advantage of this fact. Don't think I have ever seen another player hit like this however. It certainly works for him
Also, agree that college baseball is starting to become like march madness with me and hopefully now with the rest of the nation.

Can't wait for tonight's game between Florida and ASU. No offense to any Florida fans or parents on this site, but ASU is the apple of my eye right now. That said, there is no way I can predict the outcome of this game between these two outstanding teams. You gotta love it!
This may be the greatest CWS ever in terms of team balance across the board
"Baseball is a funny game."

Little Miss Bullwinkle and I just got back, and yes we stopped off at Yale, we had the tour and loved the campus. We also stopped at UConn which is more country than city (Donny and Marie just popped in my head) anyways, the tour was fun and the showcase was well run.
I'll let you all know if anything comes up.
