Far out! My alma mater is hosting and a participant. Washington University in St. Louis. Go Whatever-They're-Called!

Son's team is hosting and a participant. Now if it would just stop raining! Don't know about the other areas but they're calling for rain about every day this week! I don't know how they'll get all these games in.
Does anyone know how they pick what schools go? In our region, there are teams that didn't win their conference so I'm sort of confused plus some teams from sort of nearby are going to the midwest area. I'm confused by this stuff... and then we get to the seedings. I'd be interested to learn how all this stuff is determined 'cause I don't have a clue? But it should be fun to be here again. Haven't bought any tickets to WS tho since we have the #1 ranked team playing in our regional. Should be exciting to see them play.
