Keep in mind that some or many of the 90% or 100% offers may not have been "received"/taken. As in our case, we took less than the top offers for a school that filled more of our criteria.

All of the ones I know with those types of offers are pitchers. I'm sure there must be others, but don't know any.

Actually, you do know one. Wink
Just to add - things could be skewed...

If my son was offerred a 25% at the right D1 Academically - he would take it! It may be a better fit for the academics and worth the additional money....Plus he would get academic money. Overall package would be > 60%.

Would he like 100% - sure who wouldn't. However we would jump for the perfect match and not beat around the bush possibly lose out to another that may just want to play basbeall and don't care about the education.
I'm curious that I've not seen ANY mention of a stipend as part of the offer. Only one of several schools that made good offers to my son also included a small stipend. And as my son took a little time to consider his choices, the coach increased the stipend offer a little.

Anyone else have a stipend as part of the offer in addition to tuition, books, fees, room and board?

Not sure why you say that, but there absolutely are players that get 100% of tuition, books, fees, room and board.

Uncommon, but it does in fact happen.

I know of a school that gives 7-11 fulls and 1-8 partials as a way to compete in recruiting against bigger schools for the big impact guys. And they've been quite successful with that approach.

But there are other players on 100% at other schools as well.

Hopefully people realized that as this is a baseball website and thus a baseball poll.

Not sure what you mean by that. It IS an anonymous poll with lots of precursor statements about only responding with facts.

Full rides do happen. They are uncommon and the poll results reflect that.

Pretty sure an athletic scholarship can't go beyond the items listed above(tuition, books, fees, room and board).

I'm not sure what a "stipend" is either, but in principle an athlete can receive total aid up to the cost of attendence.
A full grant in aid is tuition, books, fees, room and board. The player, as justbaseball says, can't receive more athletically related money than a full grant in aid.

The cost of attendence (COA) is a larger number, computed using guidelines provided by Uncle Sam, and includes additional living expenses. An athlete can in principle receive additional money (e.g. governmental grants not related to athletics) up to the COA. If a Pell grant is involved, the limit is a full grant in aid plus the value of the Pell Grant, or the COA, whichever is greater.

Some colleges have varying costs for room and/or board depending on the number of roommates or meal plan. I speculate that a school could give two players the same percentage, but one gets better living circumstances.
