I am from Minneapolis, MN and am looking to play in college and there really aren't many D2 schools around that I know of other than MSU Mankato. Does anyone have any suggestions of any D2's around? Preferably from the midwest, northeast, or the east coast and with at least 5000 students. Academics are also important to me. Thanks.

As a Mankato St. grad back in the 80's I think I'm supposed to resent the lack of respect. But, I'm more inclined to think your definition of a great school is any institution outside of your geographic area. I would suggest you check the NCAA DII website and you'll find all the challenging schools in the nation.
Hi Gopher-
If you are still looking...we would be happy to speak with you about the prospects of Saint Michael's College. Academically we'd probably fit your needs as we are very strong in that area. Baseball wise our program continues to make great strides and we are poised for a big year this year (largest schedule in school history, largest roster in history, a number of quality opponents, all new uniforms, field improvements etc). Please email me at mbyrne@smcvt.edu if you have any questions. Coach Cole would love to meet with you and I'm sure the guys could host you for an overnight.
