D2 Colleges

I guess I don't really know any specific ones to ask about.

Do you know any colleges that are well respected for both baseball and academics? Also, I don't want a tiny college as I go to a large high school and don't want to go to a college smaller than my high school.

St. Cloud State is a D2 up your way.

Winona State, Bemidji State and the whole conference.

With all due respect, I am looking for colleges a little more academically demanding than winona st. and the like. ALso, I'm not looking at schools just in MN.

As a Mankato St. grad back in the 80's I think I'm supposed to resent the lack of respect. But, I'm more inclined to think your definition of a great school is any institution outside of your geographic area. I would suggest you check the NCAA DII website and you'll find all the challenging schools in the nation.

TDad, no I respect MSU very much. I just don't know if I have the talent to play there...thats the only reason I haven't said much about it.

If you are still looking...we would be happy to speak with you about the prospects of Saint Michael's College. Academically we'd probably fit your needs as we are very strong in that area. Baseball wise our program continues to make great strides and we are poised for a big year this year (largest schedule in school history, largest roster in history, a number of quality opponents, all new uniforms, field improvements etc).
