So after the NLI signing day I perused some commitment lists for schools at Perfect Game. Looking mostly at the CCAA but a few other schools as well, it looks like hardly any 2016's have signed, or committed, or at least gotten that info to Perfect Game. Some schools show a player or two; many show none. Anybody know what's up with that?

Not sure why, but I don't think many DII (or DIII) commitments make it to PG profiles. Many of those same schools have one or none listed for 2015, too. I've also noticed that a certain few DII/DIII schools seem to have all or many of their commits listed.
Yeah, you're right. The schools with nothing recorded for 2016 do tend to have nothing recorded for 2015 or 2014. I guess it's a question of who's proactive about getting that info in and who is not.

I have not looked at each CCAA school but a few, and your son's coach looks to be alone in that regard.
Isn't it also true that D 2's tend to wait longer to sign guys, until after the D1 dust has settled somewhat and guys who were hoping to sign with a D1 face their come to jesus moment.

I think the difference here is that Coach Scifano has been a DI guy and it seems that he is running this program that way. Good looking 2016 class!
Looks like he's recruited some highly legit players. It also looks like attending the team's prospect camp is a good way to get recruited, and that is interesting.
JCG, my best guess would be that those players were invited specifically to attend the camp as part of a previously ongoing recruiting process with them. One of son's past JC teammates was invited and attended that camp only after some previous dialog with coach/s and after coach had done some research and reached out for feedback about the player (prior to camp).
I would be surprised if any of these players who ultimately signed attended based solely on the typical generic camp invite.
This is consistent with the college camps I have been exposed to (not extensive, by any stretch). There are always a few (or group of) players who were there after there had already been recruiting efforts and the coaches want one more look. This is sometimes tied in with a tour of the school that some of the "regular" campers are not part of. Those few are clearly who the coaches are focused on. Finding a previously unknown talent happens but it is a rare bonus.
This is also how some of these schools promote their camps. Since many of their recruits attend their camp at some point, they will say so, even though those players were identified and recruited prior to attendance.
