Does anybody know, in general terms according to NCAA rules, what a D3 can and cannot do in regard to recruiting potential players?

Try PM'ing "infielddad." His son played at a top D3 and was later drafted and played MiLB.
And then for one year he was an assistant coach at a top D3.

I'm sure InfieldDad will be able to answer your specific question. However, I've found these guides (URL below) to be a tremendous help as well. You get a lot of expert advice here in additon to some backround docs. You can download and view. This covers pretty much everthing from a D1, D2, D3 perspective of do's, don'ts, time tables and definitions. I was constanlty referrring to these when I had questions in addition to posting on this site.
