Hey, what can anyone tell me about the SAA in recent years? Who are the best coaches? Up and coming programs? Developmental/JV teams at certain schools? Over-recruiting at others? Level of competition vs. the rest of D3? Please let me know what you know, thanks.

Been away from following the SAA for a number of years, but I took a look and it looks like Berry came up over the past few years and Oglethorpe recently hired the coach that seemingly built up that program.
Birmingham-Southern, Millsaps, and Hendrix were the powerhouse baseball programs historically that could compete on a national level, but I think in recent years Rhodes has been more competitive and I noticed Berry the past 4 years. Birmingham is typically nationally ranked year in and year out.
Son was talking to both BSouthern and Berry before he committed elsewhere. Both are legit. BS coach was really a good guy, and son would have loved to play there. Great culture and a good town.
Watched Birmingham-Southern in the South Regionals this past year. Competitive and talented program. Could compete at the national level.
