Hey all, as a high school baseball player, I understand that training is very important. My trouble is finding a balance between weight and strength training and skills training for this fall and winter. So my question is, considering I have nothing to do after school except homework, "What would your day-by-day daily practice routine be?" Keep in mind that I'm a shortstop, so saying that I should take fly balls in right-field may not be particularly useful

Thank You

Moses; outstanding I did the same with my son Robert a shortstop.

1st throw from RF to a bucket at 3b, then take grounders at SS.

The reason is to strengthen the arm.

When he played in the Valley League, every 3rd day the coach [a former minor league mgr] had his infielders throw from the OF before the game.

PS: my current "pet peeve" is the 1b who does not watch the runner touch the bag.

That is an out which can win a game. This is the 6th tool.
