Dallas Freeze Team-Need Info.

I think what she is wanting is inside info about the team, coaches, ect.

By the word "skinny" she is meaning inside information that isn't posted on their website or being told by the person recruiting her son. She is wanting guidance from someone else who is familiar with the organization or the people invloved with the team.

I don't think you can find that on Google.

Thanks for the suggestion TRHit, but I think Ringer1 hit the nail on the head. We can all use google to read information posted by the organization, which usually reveals a partial story. I am not suggesting that this group has anything to hide. They may provide excellent opportunities.

Thanks Ringer1 that is just what I wanted, I tried Google for the basics but I was looking for inside/personal information/experience from those on the boards whom I have come to trust and rely on.....

Diet tips are always welcomed and yes 5'sdad they are needed........but thank you anyway.....

Momandcpa is the one that doesn't need the diet tips now if she could just spare me an inch or two in height...... I would love that.

The Dallas Freeze has not been associated with Frozen Ropes for 2 years. The only teams out of the facility are the Blue Sox.

Could you explain to me what exactly do you get when you pay $3400 to play for the Blue Sox. Maybe

My son played for the Blue Sox last summer and the team fee was nowhere near that much. If I recall, it was in the $1,500 range, which is in line with a lot of select programs in the area. Where did you hear it cost that much TTSU? I doubt that is the case, but not sure!

My son plays for the 18u team. The team fee is 1500.00. The estimated travel costs, which includes air fare, lodging, meals and incidentals for the players is approximately 1850.00. This doesn't seem too bad when you are talking about 4 out of state and 2 in state tournaments. So before we start down the road of insinuating exorbitant fees, maybe we ought to get our facts straight. Just a thought.

Grand prize $3350. Which is probably on the low side.

To compare apples to applies is difficult with the summer teams. Generally, there is a "team fee". My experience indicates the norm to be around $1500. Then there are fees related to travel, which are usually over and above the team fee and obviously depend on many things -- the number of out-of-town events, decisions on mode of travel and accomodations, etc. I don't know many serious travel teams that are under $1000 anymore -- and the upper-end is around $2K.

Unless your team requires participation in club-related services -- (lessons, etc.) -- the best place to start is to ask questions like, "what is the team fee and what does it include?" Our summer team fees include coaching, uniforms, league and tournament entry fees. Travel-related costs remain the responsibility of each family.

It sounds to me like the Frozen Ropes team is close to the average in regards to fees.
