The Dallas Patriots and Premier baseball teamed up with Area 10 Special Olympics to train athletes on the skills they need during their upcoming softball season. After training a pizza party was held allowing the Patriot players to get to know the Special Olympic athletes better.
The Dallas Patriots and Premier Baseball Academy collected over 1,200 books and donated them to the children of The Family Place. The Family Place will picked up the books today at Premier Baseball Academy. Lastly, is the outreach program called Premier Christmas where gift cards are purchased by the Dallas Patriots Foundation and handed out by players at the Samaritan Inn, the only homeless shelter in Colin County.
"The Family Place has had the continuing mission of helping children who are in need and who have been put in very difficult family situations. Our goal of reaching out to the children of The Family Place has become a reality and we now know every child they serve will have great books and educational items to meet their needs," said James Vilade VP of the Dallas Patriots and Premier Baseball Academy."
