Newscout,

First, the MAC is not the Tigers. And you heard wrong. We have a contract to sell the MAC, but that's personal business, not baseball. My wife and I are excited about the sale. Those of you that know me know that I am a private person and that's all I'll say about the MAC.

As far as merging with the Patriots, I wouldn't consider merging for the same reason I wasn't interested in the Metro Scout League when Shayne called me last year. My goal is to put all my players in front of as many scouts as I can in order to open as many doors as possible. And I think the Tigers do that better than anyone. For instance, I spoke with the coach for UCSB yesterday about a kid that didn't play much for his high school team last season, but pitched really well for us this summer. Another good example was a kid from Arlington Martin a few years back that had committed to Blinn JC and wasn't being heavily recruited. He went to Jupiter with us, pitched 3 scoreless innings and ended up at Notre Dame.

We try to get every player looked at, not just the superstars. Those kids can get scholarships and/or drafted with their moms coaching.

And Ken, you're killing me!

Tommy,

Didn’t mean to say anything to get you upset. Matter of fact I was trying to be a little funny. But since you made the statement
“I wouldn't consider merging for the same reason I wasn't interested in the Metro Scout League when Shayne called me last year. My goal is to put all my players in front of as many scouts as I can in order to open as many doors as possible”

Are you saying that last fall your players got in front of 75-80 scouts like the players did in the MSL?

And with this statement “We try to get every player looked at, not just the superstars. Those kids can get scholarships and/or drafted with their moms coaching”

Are you saying that is what the other organizations do?

We all respect you and would love to hear your commits.
Answer to your two questions:

1. When our fall showcase season was all said and done last fall after Jupiter, my kids were in front of at least 300 scouts (Big 12, SEC, Ivy League, ACC, Div 1,2,3, JUCO Div.1,2,3 etc..). And many, many more.

2. I explained to you what the Tigers have been doing for years. My kids are getting opportunities to show their talents in front of everyone in the country. If it aint broke, don't fix it. What other clubs in the metroplex do, does not concern me. All I'm saying is if you are a Tiger, you will get 100% from me.

Tommy, you should know.......

Being seen by only 300 scouts at 1 tournament ain't enough.

You must travel all over the country and spend thousands of dollars to create the best opportunity for these kids.

None of these scouts and coaches call you do they? Surely they don't value a coaches opinion sight unseen. Roll Eyes
