Both the Tigers and Marshals will be having tryouts for the 16, 17 and 18U age groups on November 1st @ Craig Ranch field #9. Registration will begin at 8:45 a.m. 15U tryouts will be Sunday, Nov. 2 at 4:30 at Craig Ranch field #9.

The tryout will consists of infield/outfield, catchers' pop times, batting practice on the field and pitchers throwing in front of Linty Ingram in the bullpen. We will definitely be finished by noon.

Hope you all had a great fall but if for any reason you had a bad experience with whatever program you were associated with, please feel free to come out and join an established organization. So far, the Dallas Tigers 2009 commitments include:

Jacob Morris Arizona St.
Charlie Martin Texas Tech
Austin Elkins Dallas Baptist
Chad Kettler Oklahoma
Drew VerHagen Oklahoma
Drew Harrison Oklahoma
Jonathan Walsh Texas
Colton Cain Texas

In addition to the kids who have committed, all but one of our '09 class have recieved offers, but haven't yet chosen their school. I am very confident that the rest of them will commit after we get back from Jupiter.

Hope to see everyone at Craig Ranch on Nov. 1st or 2nd.

There will be teams at each age group for the Tigers and for the Marshals, just like there has always been. The clubs are under the same umbrella, but will have separate teams that support each other. For instance, I'll be helping both Tigers and Marshals with college recruiting and showcases. We think it will make both clubs stronger and will allow twice as many good players have opportunities to be seen by scouts.

Oh, the opportunities.... Big Grin
The cost will depend on which team and the schedule that they play. For instance, the 15U will go to Phoenix (old Junior Olympics tournament) so they will spend at least 10 days there with a $2,000 entry fee and larger coach reimbursement expenses. 18U sticks close to home and will pay less. Some teams will play a league and others won't. Each team's fee may be different depending on what they do.
I will be hosting a 17-18u & 14u (60/90) tournament at Craig Ranch on November 1-2. Local teams may hae to play on Friday night. In the 18u division, I have two teams from Houston and one from San Antonio. Bullett Baseball from La. will confirm today. Local teams that have committed are two Tiger teams, Blackhawks and two other teams will cofirm today. I will have 12 teams in each division. We have emailed over 300 colleges in Texas and Oklahoma and every MLB team. If you would prefer playing in this tournament as opposed to coming to tryout, let me know. If we have enough kids that would rather play instead of tryout, I will put a team together and have a Tiger/Marshal coach evaluate and coach the kids. That will be there tryout. For more information, email me at dtigertommy@hotmail.com.

Thanks.
