Took Peavy's place on the roster, I hope also in the rotation!
MLB Network is reporting that Dan was traded to the D-backs today, for Edwin Jackson.
One thing for sure, they need pitching in Arizona.
Hope Grasscutter and family are good with this. And I hope we see Dan in the D-backs' rotation soon!

It was great to watch him! Wish he could have gone the distance but his dad called the coach and ask him to take him out, said his pitch count was toooooo high!!!

Yes, thank goodness my direct line to Gibby was still working. HA HA HA. I certainly did not want to see the kid get his first complete game shutout! HA HA HA.

Thanks Midlo. It's been quite a summer for Mom and I. Going from that little valley back on July 30, not knowing what was in store to where he is now, it has been nice to watch and experience. And now that the Sox are out of it (ha ha), I have to try and endure '43 all weekend in Pittsburgh! Geesh.
BIG congrats to Dan and the family and good luck with the "Babe" in Pittsburgh. I hear they still have plenty of Iron City if it gets too bad

I am sure the "studs" of "Billy's Team" would be out there, but seeing how they all are in school, it would make it kind of difficult for them to get up here.

You are correct, but some of them are still at local colleges and some are still in high school. Heck, a lot of them have already graduated from college and now are working in this area. Quite a few from the team that went to Puerto Rico a few years back. Hopefully, some of their parents will come out and support Lynnhaven Baseball.
