Can anyone give me any insight into the recruiting process at Davidson College in NC?

@Southerngirl - My oldest boy plays at Davidson. In general, the process would be very similar to what you might experience at any mid-D1. Davidson is a little distinctive because of the academic focus and the size of the school/student body. The coaches have to recruit within the academic constraints as well as ~7 scholarships as opposed to a fully funded 11.7. Send me a PM if you have specific questions or want to talk through things in a less public way
Great school. If not for Covid, this is the one D1 school that "got away" when it became basically impossible for D1 schools to recruit in person in 2020. Nice field, great staff, and a competitive program. If your son is interested in a smaller school with high academics and a competitive program, Davidson should be high on his list.
Agree with all of the points above. And let's not forget, they did beat South Carolina last year!
Son engaged with them early in his process. For what it's worth he spoke very highly of Davidson's RC who sent Jake a very classy note when he committed elsewhere. Heard nothing but good things about Rucker Taylor as well. Small school though and a kid needs to be open to that

My son's friend (our neighbor) played there 10 years ago. For him it was a very similar recruiting experience and timeline as an Ivy, as Penn had offered him. He wanted a smaller school, and loved the Davidson coaches.
Good luck!
Great school on a beautiful Lake.
