Golden you as well but I take nothing back. I believe its 100% true and you can disagree that also is whats great about America. We can disagree.
I am just sick of hearing this guy is making money and that guy is adding to many teams and why is that group combining with that group and why is my son not playing for the #1 team and I got screwed because it is all about the money and I wish I would have........ Cry me a river. If you don't like it go play s****r. I think you will find out that the other sports are way worse. I think you will find out that in baseball we still have some honest guys out there running teams and organizations. Here is some good advise have your son go play for a team that is not in one of the top 4 or 5 organizations in Dallas. Then have him not play in the MSL or PSL in the fall. Oh and don't go to Area Code tryouts and when the BOB invites you turn that down also. That will save you a ton of money and you will have nothing to complain about.
Is there any truth to DBAT fielding s****r teams next year? My neighbor kid mentioned he's going to a tryout.
A bunch of false outrage here looking for comments in a thread that just don't exist here.
My only disagreement with you was with bringing the politics into the conversation. On this issue we will have to agree to disagree;and yes that is what is great about this country is that we are free for the most part to express our opinions. As I stated earlier, I hate that the cost to play baseball at the higher levels is becoming a barrier for some players to chase their dream because their family can't afford for them to participate. However, at the end of the day I don't really know how to address this issue.
I paid the price and my son is now a freshman competing for a starting position at a D1 school in Texas. Whether there is a direct correlation between the amount of money we paid and him getting a scholarship, I will never know. I like to believe it had something to do with his talent, dedication, hardwork and quite frankly alot of help from above.
It was a sacrifice for our family to afford all the costs involved. I am sure we are not unique in this regard. Most families do the best they can to give thier kids the best opportunity possible to participate in certain activities whether it be playing s****r, hockey, violin, piano or any other opportunities. I guess at the end of the day, I know we were pretty blessed but to be honest if he had not gotten a scholarship it still would have been worth it because of the life lessons that he learned and all of the time I got to spend with him while he chased his dream. No amount of money can replace the memories that I acquired watrching him play and spendingf countless hours with him in the batting cages, travelling to tournaments, playing catch and staying at hotels. For all of you dads and moms that are still at that stage, please cherish the moments because when they go away to college there is a huge void in your life that will have to be filled. Well I got to go get some sleep and maybe tomorrow I will pick up my old saxophone and start working on that skill again that I gave up years ago because my wife would not let me play in the house because it woke up the litte ones. I am filling the void. (smile)

PJ; Yes we tested the s****r idea in all our out of state locations and it worked real well. We will be starting the largest s****r organization in Texas in a few months. It will be called D-BALLS and it will cost $9500 a player. Tryouts posted on channel 5 news each night at 8:00pm.
My kid doesnt play for the Tigers, but the comment that Tommy built the team that Lynn coaches is way wrong. Tommy has had the majority of his team since they were early middle school. Lynn was with a different organization and then joined in with the Tigers. Lynn deserves credit for his team, no one else.
I just don't get all the bi***ing about this issue. If there is enough interest in any organization, why do you have an issue with them fielding teams to meet the interest. If YOU don't want your child to play or pay for that organization, DON"T!! MOVE ON PEOPLE!!
The Dallas Tigers will be having S****r tryouts this weekend. Cost will be $9,499 per player. Team will be coached by Pele Vanlandingham and Tatu Guthrie.
A native American grandfather told his grandson that there is a battle between two wolves that live within you.
One is evil and has anger, envy, sorrow, regrets, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, superiority, and ego.
The other wolf is good and has joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, empathy, generosity, faith, courage, honor and integrity.
The grandson asked his grandfather, "Which one wins"?
The grandfather simply replied, "The one you feed".

MJ8, Your message comes from my grandfather. He was Chief of Wolf. Fed many of wolf in his day. Once killed anger and humility to make stew for tribe. Tribe no like, so tribe kill all wolf. No wolf left in his land. So no wolf to feed. Now me, Chief Nocahoma, feed Mustang and Tiger to kill American Patriot. Chief keep big spoon in stew.
And here's the pitch....Chief Nocahoma takes it deep and it's out of the park!!!
Good stuff Chief

Well I guess I'll just keep it to myself then that I think Obama is a socialist idiot who wants to redistribute wealth and tear this great nation down with bigger government. Oh and he continues to add more to our our national debt at a record pace with no entitlement reform or spending cuts in sight.
BTW, will the DBAT S****r teams be offering scholarships to blue chippers?
Had 2 full rides and already offered them to Pele Vanlandingham and Tatu Peanut Guthrie. Sorry maybe next year. Will this thread ever die?

Check your sarcasm meter..... Pretty sure that comment was made tongue in cheek.
TxLeaguer, I think I will take the high road on this one, since the comment was not directed to you. As my parents always said and I have not always practiced their advice "If you have nothing good to day than don't say anything at all". That statement was for my benefit so I will refrain from responding to your comment. Have a blessed day.
Sorry for the typo "day" should have been "say".
