DBAT Grand Opening

Would winning a Free Hummer cause problems with the UIL or NCAA? Just asking, but I'm sure you've already checked.

I have already checked this out. If your kid wins a car playing in a golf tournament UIL can say nothing. If your 18 year old kid wins the loto same thing. But if your kid wins a car because he threw a no hitter in his high school game different story. Thanks for asking. Cade

Congrats Cade on your new building. I hope you knock em dead over there. I'm going to try and bring ML over there and see the new facility on the 29th.

I also would like to say congrats to Cade and the guys over at DBAT. You guys do great things for the kids in this area and continue to make North Texas baseball something to talk about. Good luck in your new digs.

Went by the new DBAT last week and it's enormous. The turf practice infield ain't going be too shabby either. I predict the new place will be a big hit.

Have followed this thread a little and have the time to finally post.

Cade, I want to say what you have achieved from a business stand point as well as what you have done for amatuer baseball speaks volumes. How someone from DBU ever did this is beyond me.

I can still remember the days when you and I went head to head in college. You pushed me then to become better and even today that still happens. I have watched you become a good husband and a father. I can't wait for the day our boys shoot a deer or turkey on the same weekend.

Cade, you have also given me an opportunity to coach the game I love. The years doing so was a great experience. There wasn't one time when I asked for something for the team that you did not make it happen. If folks only knew what you have given.

I hope your new place is a huge success. How it could be better than what is already established is beyond me, but if someone can do it......it's you.

Now don't forget, I helped you put up your first net and first L-screen. I still remember when we met in your ratty apartment to go over the new business venture.

Keep up the good work and thanks again for all you and Kyle have done for me and so many others.

Like Ken, I remember DBAT when it was just a baby. We used to tuck it in early in the evening and then be up all night painting! Anyone that hasn't been to DBAT needs to head over there and see what all the hype is about. Cade and crew really know how to run a GREAT ship. I can't wait to see the new place. Doesn't seem like 8 years ago we were getting the place ready to open.

By reading all about DBAT on this website I figure that alot of investors are involved. I am from the panhandle and would love to know how to start up an operation such as this. Hopefully I can make it to the facility and see first hand how it operates.

If potential games get rained out Saturday, we can all congregate over @DBAT.

Did anyone win the Hummer or scholarship today? Just curious DBAT...what happens if no one gets all 4 balls through the designated holes?

I would like to thank everyone who came out to our Grand Opening. I am not sure how many people it really was but we made over 500 hotdogs on Saturday. No one won the hummer but we did have a number of people make one and two balls. They won some pretty good prizes. Also all the kids also were able to get signed bats and balls by Ben Grieve, Jeff Fry, Bobby Whitt, and Darren Hall. Thanks again and I hope all of you had a good time. Cade Griffis
