DBU Coach Named ABCA Regional Coach of Year

Congrats to Coach Heefner and his players for a well-deserved honor.

You have not heard the last of Coach Heefner and DBU. They signed a good class this year and have already landed one of the best hitters in the area for the 09 class. I will continue to recommend players to them. Congrats Coach Heefner!

Sorry but I can't ignore this thread. Add all of us from PG to those above in congatulating Dan Heefner on this huge achievement.

Dan is one of our favorites and has been since he was a very young kid (from Iowa). Dan would hang around our building soaking up as much knowledge as possible and then played in the wood bat leagues and showcases. He was a self made player who became an outstanding college hitter and player. He is one of the most honest people and hardest workers we have ever seen. I really doubt that anyone would ever say anything bad about Dan Heefner. As good as he already is... He will continue to learn more and more because he understands that satisfaction is the enemy in baseball. He is living proof that nice guys don't always finish last.

If I had a young son, Dallas Baptist would be on the short list.
