is it true that college coaches cant watch players starting nov 1st. I heard it was for d1 coaches, what about d2, d3, and NAIA schools. Do they obey it or can they send scouts to watch for them. I have some travel tournaments in dec and jan so i just want to know if i should invite them to come watch me

THANKS

TD,
You can find the recruiting rules for all divisions here: NCAA Recruiting site. Still let coaches know where you are playing. They know the rules and will follow them as appropriate. Major scouting events will also provide coaches with evaluations during these times. Remember, you can always call a coach at any time.

For Div I, these are the upcoming dates and what type of contact coaches can make.

September 9 through November 6, 2005 is a Contact/Evaluation Period

November 7-10, 2005 is a Dead Period

November 11, 2005, through February 28, 2006 is a Quiet Period

January 5 through January 9, 2006, Dead Period
-----------------------------------------------
Contact period - permissible for authorized athletic department staff members to make in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts and evaluations.
Dead period - not permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations on- or off-campus or permit official or unofficial visits.
Evaluation period - permissible for authorized athletics department staff to be involved in off-campus activities to assess academic qualifications and playing abilities. No in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts with a prospect are permitted. Quiet period - permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts only on the member institution's campus.
