In reference to earlier discussion of Derryfield's Larry Longo, below was obtained from the Manchester Union Leader (5/8/08), keep in mind that the numbers are only through 5/7/08, they are even more impressive today, last I heard he is hitting well over .700. Also for anyone that says he can't succeed in the larger divisions, this kid is a huge threat in Legion Ball and will be a great addition to the Little East Champion Keene State Owls next spring. If they pitch to him in the post season (which most teams didn't in 2007), he will lead Derryfield to the State Title.

Derryfield Dominance
Through nine games Larry Longo has been unstoppable. The senior's driven home over 20 runs while going 15-for-20 from the plate, including six homers.

A first team all-state selection last season, Longo's 2-0 on the mound, conceding two hits in nine innings of work.

Wow I knew he was good but not that good. It will be interesting to see if Wilton can beat them again at fishercat stadium tommarow at 4. Wilton has there ace pitching again against derryfields ace i would suppose. I would like to attend that.

Having watched Larry in his AAU days, I'm not surprised. I love it when a kid who's worked that hard finally gets some recognition.
