Taking nothing away from Cave as a pitcher, wouldn't you think the pros would like him more as an OF?

He hits, hits for power, has very good speed, and he plays hard all the time. No big attitude at all despite the accolades. I love watching him play, even when he's beating us.

Redbird has had a front row seat a lot, what do you think?

Interested in that question also-- haven't seen Jake for over a season now. Always thought he was a better prospect as an OF. Have heard folks say pros like him as either but they will not draft him that way.

Secondly--that's a lot of runs for a game with these guys on the mound. WGarlick states Cave went 3 innings. How many did Lake go? Were there uunearned runs scored? Or did second line pitchers
give up all the runs? How did the game go?
I think they will draft him as an OF. He has too many tools to put him on the mound right away - 6.8 runner so speed plays, plus arm, plus power, plus bat. If he doesn't make it as a position player, he can always go back to the bump.

If he goes to college, he could be one of the top 2way guys. Given the solid class of LSU pitchers this year, they may keep him in CF or RF.

On top of it all, he's a good, humble kid.
