Old Miss asks for college transcripts of the parents as well. This is a growing practice among D1 Schools (especially in the south and west) as it is more than just talent that these elite programs are asking for any more. They want to know if a player is projectable to be in their program for at least 3 years based on academics. They look at your pedigree or lineage for superb savants. I think it's a great practice.
Switchhitter- have not heard of the programs in the West asking for the parents transcripts and quite a few on my son's friends have signed the last few years. What schools in the west are you referring to????????
switchitter,
Today's date is January 1st, not April 1st!
In other words, are you sure?

Brod had it right ! The amount of scholarship money (athletic) they offer ,determines what the coaches think your sons impact will be to their program . Go where they want you ! = amount of scholarship !
Nutit that is even truer today.

Congrats! Hopefully your son is able to be a 2way player . If he swings it he will, if he doesn't he'll be on the hill ,and most likely it'll be the coaches decision (what's best for the team). 2 way players are in Juco,Naia,D3 and D2 , very rare in top D1 if they are they're left handed .Good luck
