DH anniversary

on today's date (1-11) in 1973 the American League adopted the DH rule. Great for Paul Molitor etc., but good for the game?

Having always lived in a national league town, never gave much thought about the rule. I think it is great for HS and College, providing more opportunities to play, but at the major league level, never been quite sure I like it.

Anyway- happy anniversary to the DH
