For NFHS:

Pitcher bats for himself. When removed, catcher becomes pitcher...first basemen becomes catcher, bench player enters as new first basemen.

Can pitcher, once removed, become the DH for the new first basemen as long as he stays in the same batting position? Does the coach need to mark on the lineup card "P/DH" before game to umpire for this to happen....or can he just claim him as DH as he makes the change?

Can't do it.

You can go from having a DH to not having a DH in the course of a game.

But you can't go from not having a DH to having one.

And, the only place where you can do that is NCAA. However, even in that, the OP is not legal, because the DH can only bat for the pitcher.
