Can a DH ever be inserted as a P during the course of a game? Read thru the MLB rules on DH and it doesn't say one cannot but scoring on GameChanger does not allow the DH to be moved to P.
Wondering if that is a rule or if GC is wrong.

You can do it in NFHS...we did it last night and use GC. You have to go in the lineup and mark the DH as an EH, then change to pitcher.
AHHHH!! Thanks!!
Maybe would have thought of that if time didn't speed up every time either team wants to make a change...
There is no EH in NFHS Ball.....if the DH enters the game in a defensive position (pitcher counts) the role of the DH is terminated......
I know PIAA, I was just explaining what you have to do in the GameChanger program to get the DH to the P and lose the DH. The app doesn't allow that straight switch. It's just a quick fix in ipad to make it correct.
That's not the correct way to handle the situation in GC. For one thing it's going to give you too many hitters.
Tap on the DH to make a sub. Then select leave empty. This removes the DH and whoever he's batting for now hits. Then tap your pitcher to sub him out, and put in the DH, who is now in your list of bench players.
starting pitcher can also be designated DH prior to game, and remain as DH after removal as pitcher, I think as well. At least, I have seen it done.
thanks JCG, we've always done it the way I said and it's worked the same. last night we couldn't choose "leave empty" , it was always grayed out. i'll take a closer look at it today to see if i missed something
You can check out stuff like that in practice mode.
Baseball, I'm not 100% sure I follow you. But PIAA is correct - once the DH takes any defensive position on the field there is no more DH in the lineup. So if you mean that your DH starts out hitting for the pitcher, and then comes into the game as pitcher, then yes, he's in the game as P and hits for himself as long as he's in the game.

It's unclear to me whether you mean you can do this on GC or in the actual game -- in the game this can NOT be done under FED or OBR; it is an option in NCAA.
James, I just took a look in practice mode. I think your problem came because you tried to sub in the DH as pitcher by tapping on the pitcher in the playing area. Can't do that. You need to eliminate the DH in the lineup area before subbing for the pitcher.

Only in NCAA, and HS in Florida and Minnesota.
I'm sorry,I didn't specify, but yes I meant in NCAA.
