An invite was in the mail from these folks and we simply know nothing about them. Their website lists a lot of past signees, mostly west coast, but as we all know, if BJ Upton went to 5 showcases, they all claimed him as an alumni/signee. All would be technically right, but the info isn't helpful. I'm sure from reading previous posts about DK that a significant number of invites went out so hopefully this info will be helpful to a number of us.

Anyone have any "butt-in-the-seats" experience with Diamond Kings? How many colleges showed up for their 2004 efforts? Looking for eyewitness testimony......

My son attended the showcase in Pennsylvania last year. Then was invited and attended the showcase at Pac Bell. I like Diamond Kings. The showcases were well run in a triple A and major league park. The management cared about the players, and my son used them as a reference when inquiries were made by colleges. They are new to the northeast (come from the Fresno area), and attendance by colleges was only moderate. Overall, they deserve serious consideration as they are a credible and professionalorganization.
My son also attended the Northeast Showcase and the DKing Elite in Pac Bell Stadium. I agree, well run events, great facilities, and professional staff.

I also agree that the scout attendance was moderate. However we did get several phone calls and letters from coaches that had heard about my son through the DKings. He was also given the opportunity to attend the PG/WBAA Tournies in Marietta and Ft. Myers with this organization- 2 priceless experiences.

Ct Yank-
I would like to say your son is not only a great ball player but a great all around kid. Best of luck in all that he pursues!
