I find Mills' frequent "bashing" of other gurus (mostly Tom House but also Paul *****, I believe) a real turn-off. I think his ideas on specificity training apply more to athletes at the highest levels and not as much to the young kids I coach. I think he has some interesting ideas about energy transfer up the kinetic chain. I'm told his book (albeit expensive) is a good read.

EDIT: Wow. How come Paul N-y-m-a-n's last name got blanked out above? Is that a banned word on this site?

scissorbill, no I actually like his stuff. Iused it a lot a while ago but my son doesn't pitch anymore and I don't coach anymore(parents) Honsetly I spent a lot of time with his info and did like it. I will agree with the last post that he does bash some people but I find that a lot as you look over many coaches information.
