MY son is to visit 2 schools tomorrow on his first "offical" visit. One is a top rated JUCO-and one is a upper middle DII but academically well regarded-both are within 15 miles of each other and both coaches are good friends. Since it is 2-3 hours from home this makes it convenient for us. Which would be the better baseball program? This JUCO went to the world series last year and has been ranked in the top 5 JUCOS in the past few years? My son has a 3.95 GPA with AP and honors classes but only a ACT of 22. He is also very young and just turned 17 in September. He is very serious about his baseball-a pitcher who would want to play as much baseball as possible. IF he likes both coaches and they like him, which is the better choice?
