Dinner with a coach

Busting the recruiting budget would be a good thing -- cut down on the competition!!!

Steak is plentiful in North Dakota but the Lobster could be tough to find.

Well, we had dinner with the coach last Sunday...not steak and lobster...but a nice meal and more then an hour of discussion.

The coach, of course, spent a great deal of time selling his university and BB program...said they are looking at my son as a middle infielder (he's been a HS varsity SS since his sophomore year and also pitches) and pointed out their current second baseman is a senior this year.

Next step, according to the coach, is a on- campus workout followed by an offer...no clue yet what that offer will be. I'll report as further events occur.

Division II programs can work out HS players PROVIDED it is not during their season
