Arlington Martin should be the clear favorite due to their pitching. But we all know what happened last year.
I think this district could be a very competitive one due to most of the teams having unproven position players...

I think 4-5A will be a tight race for playoff spots 2-4 between everyone but Martin.
1.) Martin just reloads every year and they have their # 1 pitcher and and star OF back plus 2 other D1 guys. They have the talent to run away with this district.
2.) Summit-They have their # 1 pitcher back.
3.) Arlington - Several Key Players Returning. Looking forward to watching the Catcher. The kid has a lot of upside to his game.
Battle for 4th... Mansfield and Lamar Both teams lost key players from last years playoff teams. Lamar will be very young overall on the mound. There is talent there for sure. We will see how they hold up in tough district ball games. Mansfield lost their ace. Will need to develop some pitching as well.
6.) Bowie-Can sneek up on teams if they are not careful
7.) Sam- Just doesn't have enough to win most district games but the program is improving.
These are opinions and nothing more. Things can always change with injuries, transfers, and players stepping up and in. This will be a fun district to watch because most of these teams are similar talent wise.

Mav, how is your son liking baseball at UTA. They just picked them a great asst. coach in KJ. He is not only a good baseball coach but a great person.
The whole team likes KJ... he is really working with Taylor on the basepaths...I know its early but I'm very impressed with the UTA coaching staff from a parents point of view...
Also, glad to hear that Mav. Hope everything goes very well at UTA. Thanks guys for the input. Since my son is a Frosh this year I am just getting aquainted with MHS BB & the teams in 4-5A. My son's select team has players at each school except AHS & Sam. I guess we will see how it all shakes out.
My son had the same experience playing against kids he had previously played with. They end up spending more time before and after the game visiting.
