I titled this thread the way I did to get some folks to read this.

I just wanted a moment of team promotion. I haven't touted Northwest HS any this season other than report scores. This is a program that hasn't been to the playoffs in 20 years in baseball. They may not make it this year either, but they have a chance. If a group of 20 kids deserved it more, I can't think of any.

My kiddo is a frosh on the team, but they accepted him in immediately. He has had a few tough moments and few few cool ones, but the the 10 seniors and 9 juniors never did anything but support him and each other. The coach is young and demanding and the kids have responded to him.

Either way this turns out, I can't imagine a group of kids that are more deserving, and if they don't make it, they have experienced something very special in teammwork, commraderie and working towards a goal together...something that will carry them way past any baseball they may play.

Thanks Coach Hendrix and the 2006 Texans...you guys are great and let's take it to the playoffs!

First off, Congrats to your son for first making the Varsity squad as a Freshman, for remaining on the squad throughout the season, that's major, I wish him and the Team the best and hopefully that means playoffs and that you go deep in the playoffs.

He always could hang with and play with those older than him..... I remember that when he was 10 or 11.........and the Coyotes....

What a great situation over there at NW you have a lot to be proud of!!!! clap

Ya ya'll have a nice team over there T-bird..we just played you guys last Thursday I play at Frisco High School (didnt play too well as a team LOL) but you're senior loaded and with yalls big win against Mckinney last night I think yall might be able to sneak in there at that last spot but must finish up strong against Hebron and North...good news is were all juniors here at Frisco and should be real strong next year with every starter despite one coming back but good luck in your playoff chase

Thanks FHS...my son knows your catcher real well...they played together before summer and fall teams.

sportsman06...anyone's guess. McKinney North is in, but with everyone else bunched in within a couple of games, it is tough to say. If Northwest wins one of their last two, they are in. Hebron looks to be in decent shape, but they must bet McKinney Tuesday and McKinney ain't dead yet. A couple of dark horses are Centennial and Lake Dallas. Keller Central is playing well but has tie breaker problems with the teams ahead of them.
