District Games vs Non District Games

Question for fun

As we head into the 1st week (non scrimmages) of HS baseball in the Central Region, my sons' team doesn't have their first district game until early April; while others start off immediately with district rivals.

What's the consensus for how to start the season - in or out of district?
Do you focus on district games and structure pitching accordingly or try to win them all and stick with a determined rotation.

Excited to head into the first set of games!

It really depends on your district, how many district games you have to play, and by extension, how many non-district games you can have in your 20.
