Today I was with the JV.We lost but heres the story

-First At bat I hit a shot to straight away center,at the warning track the CF makes a diving catch and takes away a likely double.
-Second At bat I hit a shot to left field, again to the warning track and this time their LF makes a diving catch.

I was rounding first base on my way back to the dugout thinking did this really just happen again? So on the day I almost hit 2 HR`s and drive the ball well,I get some extra base hits taken away on two amazing catches.

Talk about taking away momentum. How often does this happen to you guys/ your sons?

Not only do they take away momentum from the other team, they build momentum for the team making the diving catch. One of the mysteries in baseball to me is how often it seems that the guy making the diving stop winds up leading off the next inning. In those circumstances, it also seems that player generally puts a good lick on the ball since they are all jazzed up after making the diving play.
.

But seriously folks...specifically for you FC27...

On another website had a player unhappy about a new coaches stat called "HCP"...hard contact percentage...

While you went 0-2 which is bad news...the good news is that you are doing really, really, well in your persuit of this new stat....HCP...2-0 in fact...now if you can get a college coach to bite on HCP...all is well...

As for you, Wood Man...a friend in "Knead" is a friend indeed....

Cool 44
That’s tough luck, but it has always been part of the game. How come nobody complains about a couple wounded ducks that fall behind first base? It’s because you get credit for the hit then and it makes up for the hard hit outs. Part of the beauty of baseball is that results count. Nothing else. Keep hitting the ball hard and it should work out in your favor. In the mean time you can take pride in the fact that it took a diving catch to keep you off the bases. Long term success in baseball requires that you learn to manage failure and your reaction to it. The game is designed around more outs than hits. Even Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, and Barry Bonds hit many more long outs than home runs. Don’t let it get you down.

Unfortunately that's true. Realistically, all you can do as a batter is hit the ball hard. If you do that you've done your job and there's nothing else you can do except run your a$$ off. My son hit a line drive last week that was still going up when it got to the shortstop, who was able to time his leap perfectly and just barely get his glove on it and make a snow-cone catch. Son wasn't thrilled, but I pointed out that he had the best hit ball of the game. If the other team gets lucky enough to be able to make a play on the ball, well, that's the way it goes.
Looking at it the other way, you have the momentum going in YOUR favor! You're driving the ball hard on a line to the gaps, two at-bats in a row. That's what you should be happy about. You are on a roll! How would you be feeling about your hitting if you'd barely gotten a piece of the ball and hit two little nubbers for infield hits? Yeah, you'd be on base, and that would be good, but you wouldn't feel too great about how you're hitting.

Look for the positives in a situation. While misery likes company, it's not the company you want to keep.
Well, the only other thing I can offer on this topic is a story . . . in a game last year my son was robbed of extra bases by a fine running catch in centerfield, later a team-mate was really robbed by an unbelievable diving catch by the left fielder. This year my son is pitching for that team and those two outfielders will be playing defense behind him when he's on the mound. That's a pretty good feeling.
