Dizzy Dean is HUGE in certain areas in the southeast. There are a ton of teams throughout north Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, some from Florida, Mississippi, and Louisiana. The tournaments are usually pretty well run down here. The competition is usually pretty strong up through 9u then it starts to fall off due to kids moving on to true travel teams.

Anyone have any info on this league or there tournaments? I know this may not be the right group to post under but I thought I'd get a better review here. We just got done playing our first Dizzy Dean tournament and it wasn't very organized. Atleast compared to USSSA it isn't IMO.

Dizzy Dean as previously stated is much larger in the deep south and has been around for quite a while....

I started my umpiring career in Dizzy Dean and Dixie Youth Baseball leagues....

Whether its LL, or PONY league, Khoury League, Dixie Youth, Dizzy Dean, Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken, Connie mack...you will find some tournaments are better run than others......
