Can anyone shed some light on D2 scholarships? My son is getting a lot of interest from a D2 and I was wondering what they can give as far as academic and athletic money. Son is a good student, 3.50 GPA.

DII's are limited to 9 full scholarships as opposed to 11.7 for DI teams. This is assuming they are fully funded. They are able to provide academic money in combination with baseball money just like other colleges and in some states are able to waive the out of state fees as they did in my son's case.
state school, not private, but it would be an out-of-state school for 2013 son
Each school is different and as three bagger said it depends on their funding. Not all D1's are fully funded and many DII's are not. One of the top DII's in the country (UCSD) gives each player $500....
Also many state schools do not have the endowments of privates, so you wiil need to ask about the availability of atheletic and academic $$ at each program.
