I went to a game the other day and noticed some scouts with radar guns and clip boards. I was told they were from one of the states universities. The pitcher, I am told, was the # 2 pitcher in the state. The final score of the game was 8 to 1. This pitcher gave up only two hits to the same batter on the opposing team, one of the hits being a home run.

My question is do the scouts notice the batter? If this pitcher is so good and somebody hits a homerun off him do they notice?

When I was a HS freshman, our varsity quarterback was Joe Montana, who went on to play at Notre Dame and have a fairly good pro career. Of that senior class, I believe 9 other players went to college on football scholarships because of scouts seeing others when they stopped in to see Joe.

As a side note, Joe was our #2 pitcher that year and our starting guard in basketball.

Scouts will notice a player.
