DOES IT GET ANY BETTER

Great game today (webcast) TEXAS vs. STANFORD. Stanford pulled out a nail-biter at Texas in front of a march-record 6000 or so fans. The freshmen pitcher for Stanford was awesome in relief to close out the last 3 1/2 innings or so.

Texas has some big sluggers but so does Stanford.

And let's not forget to mention the Stanford starting pitcher in today's win over Texas --- #19 Erik Davis the son of Justbaseball ----- my favorite old timer.

Just a short update

I had the pleasure to be at University of Hartford yesterday for the America East Final and got a 2.5 hr taste of what college sports is all about as the Hartford Ladies won the bid to the NCAA's. We sit with the players parents and I have to tell you we have made some great friends this season and they were out in force yesterday---brothers, sisters, aunts , uncles, grandmas and grandpas---the mens coach was with us as well, despite being walloped in the Mens Final the day before and with him was his little duaghter and pregnant mommy---great scene and fun to be part of

Tonight they have a big party set for 6 PM and then in the GYM the Selection Show at 7 PM---

Brings me back to my college days in the heyday of St John's basketball ---this is what it is all about--great college spirit and lots of fun on a cold, wet dreary Sunday evening

I couldn't agree more. this is the best time of the yr. I was flipping back and forth from the Yanks spring game, where a bunch of prospects came back and scored 3 to win it in the 9th, to UNC/Clemson...u just can't beat this!

Yep, great time of year. Son's team had a blast yesterday playing a scrimmage with an awesome BBQ in between games. Doesn't get much better than this.
